Research out of the United Kingdom has proven that mobile phones are dirtier than a toilet seat! According to the study, germs, which are easily passed from your hands and face to your phone, multiply in the warm places that cellphones are often stored- like a pocket or a handbag. The deadliest of these germs is staph bacteria, which can cause skin infections and meningitis. The good news is that Motorola has developed a microbial coating for some of its phones, which stops the growth of bacteria. And, if you own a different model you can keep your phone clean by giving it a once over with ant-bacterial wipes every now and then.
